Eladio Dieste"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Alejandro Ferraz-Leite was the winner of the Eladio Dieste: Example of Technical Innovation in Uruguay, organized by ANIU as a tribute to one of the founding members of the organization and with the aim of highlighting his technological innovations.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The award ceremony, which took place on Monday, May 8, recognized the work \u201cEladio Dieste: raz\u00f3n y m\u00edstica de su obra\u201d (Eladio Dieste: reason and mysticism of his work) presented by Ferraz-Leite.<\/p>\n<p>As the winner explained, the work explains \u201cthe discourse of the justification of the exceptional universal value of the Atlantida Church when we had to submit it to Unesco to be included in the World Heritage List\u201d.<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 56.25% 0 0 0; position: relative;\"><iframe style=\"position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%;\" title=\"Eladio Dieste Competition 2022 - Awards Ceremony\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/837005091?badge=0&autopause=0&player_id=0&app_id=58479\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><script src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/api\/player.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>A digital edition of the work is being prepared and will be made available to the public shortly. A printed edition will also be produced.<\/p>\n<p>Arch. Alejandro Ferraz-Leite holds a PhD in Theory and Practice of the Project from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, as well as a Post-Doctorate in Architecture and Hermeneutics from the University of the Republic. He is currently a professor of Architectural Theory at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism of the Universidad de la Rep\u00fablica.<\/p>\n<p>The award ceremony was attended by Eng. Lucio C\u00e1ceres, vice-president of ANIU; Dra. Ana Ribeiro, Undersecretary of Education and Culture; and Eng.
